      • Open your image in your PSP program
      • Extract the presst flood Yasmine.q8r into a map of your choice
      • Extract the preset Lamps: Preset_Lights_@nn_Yasmine_Lights_001.PspScript into your PSP map Preset

      • Extract the preset Balls and bubbles: Preset_BallsAndBubbles_Yasmine_B&B_kerstbal.PspScript : into your PSP map presets


  • Filters:
      • Richard Rosenman - Solid border
      • Penta.com - VTR2
      • Lokas Software - 3D Shadow
      • Eye Candy 4000
      • Namesuppressed - Softner
      • Flaming Pear - Flood

        Install your filters.

  • Preperation
    Put your foreground colour to a light colour, I have #b7b5ba , and your background colour to a darker one #292929
    Change your foreground colour into a gradient (foreground/background gradient) with following settings:

    To start the lesson, put your materials as follows:

    Attention please: if you use other colours feel free to change the opacity and the blend mode from your layers

    The lesson

  1. File - new image:

  2. Flood fill this image with the foreground colour #b7b5ba
  3. Layer - new raster layer
  4. Change your solid foreground colour into gradient
  5. Flood fill your empty image with this gradient
  6. Adjust - blur - gaussian blur: radius: 30
  7. Layers -load/save mask - load mask from disk and choose @nn_mask_29juni2007_Yasmine:
  8. Layers - merge - merge group
  9. Effects - 3D effects - dropshadow with setting shown below:
  10. Layer palette: opacity: 70, blend mode: normaal

    This is what you should have:
  11. Layers - merge - merge visible
  12. Window - duplicate and minimize (this is for the background, later in the lesson), Proceed with the original image
  13. Activate your lines.pspimage, Edit - copy - paste as a new layer
  14. Layer palette: opacity: 100, blend mode: screen

    You should have this now:
  15. Layers - new raster layer
  16. Selections - load/save selections - load selection from disk -->> Yasmine_sel001_tdstudio:
  17. Activate your image_001.jpg, Edit - copy - paste in selection
  18. Layer palette: opacity: 20, blend mode: luminance (legacy)
  19. Selections - select none
  20. Effects - plugin Penta.com - VTR2
    or plugin Unlimited 2.0 - Penta.com - VTR2 (Vista users) with settings shown below:
  21. Effects - plugin Lokas Software - 3D shadow with settings shown below:
    Pay attention: Shadow Position and chant it into FRONT

    This is what you have now:

  22. Activate the misted tube: @nn_140607_misted_fractal_tdstudio.pspimage
  23. Edit - copy - paste as a new layer
  24. Effects - image effects - offset with settings shown below:

    You should have this now:
  25. Layers - new raster layer
  26. Change foreground colour into your light solid colour
  27. Activate the brush tool with settings shown below (@nn_yasmine_2107)

    Stamp your brush as follows:
  28. Layers - duplicate
  29. Image - mirror
  30. Layers - merge - merge down
  31. Effects - plugin Eye Candy 4000 - Shadowlab with settings shown below:
  32. Layers - merge - merge visible
  33. Effects - Illumination effects - sunburst with settings shown below:

    You have this now:
  34. Activate @nn_140607_slagklok_tdstudio.pspimage and from this image activate LAYER 1 - on your layer palette, change the blend mode from both layers into Soft light, keep it this way.
    ---››if you use other colours, play with the blend mode.
  35. Edit - copy - paste as a new layer on your working area
  36. Effects - image effects - offset with settings shown below:
  37. Activate again @nn_140607_slagklok_tdstudio.pspimage and now activate LAYER 2
  38. Edit - copy - paste as a new layer on your working area
  39. Effects - image effects- offset with settings shown below:

    This is what you should have:
  40. Activate @nn_140607_spijlen_tdstudio.pspimage
  41. Edit - copy - paste as a new layer and move as shown below:
  42. Effects - plugin Eye Candy 4000 - Shadowlab with the same settings (see item 31)
  43. Layers - merge - merge visible
  44. Effects - plugin - Flaming Pear - Flood click on this icon:
    click on Open and than click on OK
  45. Layers - new raster layer
  46. Change your material, foreground colour=dark colour.
  47. Activate your brush tool with settings shown below (@nn_Yasmine_2108):

    Stamp your brush as follows:
  48. Layer palette: opicaty: 100, blend mode: Multiply
  49. Effects - plugin - Eye Candy 4000 - Shadowlab but now with these settings:
  50. Layers - merge - merge visible
  51. Effects - plug-in filter- Namesuppressed - Softner:
    Click on open:

    Go to your map Presets form Softner, this is automatically:

    Click on OK
  52. Open the tube Mtm-photos 76-14 mei 2007.pspimage
  53. Edit - copy and paste as a new layer
  54. Adjust - hue and saturation- colorize:
  55. Image - resize with setting shown below:
  56. Effects - image effects - offset with settings shown below:
  57. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow:

    You should have this by now:
  58. Effects - plug-in filter - Flaming Pear - Flood with the same settings, they are still in the memory:
    ---›› If you use another tube, play with the Horizon.
  59. Ok we will leave this work for a moment and we are going to make our Christmas ball:
  60. Open a new transparent image:

  61. Effects - Artistec effects - Balls and Bubbles and choose my preset (see print screen):
    On the third tab you MAPS ("called" TOEWIJZINGEN in Dutch") you can choose for another Christmas ball if you wish to do so.

  62. File - export - picture tube and give it a name:
  63. You may close your Christmas ball now, and re-open your work 900x550px
  64. Layers - new raster layer !!!!!!!!!
  65. Activate the picture tube tool and choose your Christmas ball:
  66. Stamp at random and change the scale: I used scale: 100 - 70 - 50 - 30
  67. Repeat Eye Candy 4000 - Shadow lab the settings from point 49 remain, so click OK at once
    You should have this by now:
  68. Layers - merge - merge visible
  69. Effects - Illumination effects - Lights and choose @nn_Yasmine_Lights_001

  70. Effects - plug-in filter- Richard Rosenman - Solid Border:
  71. Save your work as a JPG
  72. We will make the background now:
  73. Activate the image (see point 12, you minimized it there)
  74. Selections - select all
  75. Selections - modify - contract 100
  76. Image - crop to selection
  77. Effects - image effects - seamless tiling:
  78. Save as a jpg. So you are ready now to fill in the script Annemarie made for us
