Out of Africa

This lesson was
written in PSPX, Dutch version
Materials: tube,
images, maskers, selections and font here
Filters: OptikverveLabs,
Xero Set 4 (Tekstya), Cybia (Screenworks)
Procedure
Install your
filters, open your image and tube into your program
Extract the mask into your map 'masks',
your selections into the map 'selections', minimize font
Open new image
640x480 px transparent
Foreground color
= #881100 background color = #ffe75a
Your foreground
color to gradient with these settings:

Flood fill your
layer with the gradient
Adjust blur
Gaussian blur 20
Activate the africa_image00image = right size
Load mask from
disk, with these settings:

Layer palette,
merge - merge group
Edit copy - edit
paste as a new layer on your working area.
Layer palette - blend
mode “screen”
Duplicate layer
Layer palette - blend
mode “soft light”
Effects- Filter Cybia - Screenworks - Light
Gauze standard settings
Layer - new
raster layer
Selection – load
from disk and choose selection '@nn_sel001_africa'
Flood fill this
layer with the lightest color
Deselect
Layer palette - blend
mode “hard light”
Layer - new
raster layer
Selection – load
from disk and choose '@nn_sel002_africa'
Flood fill selection
with the dark color
Deselect
Layer palette- blend mode “multiply”
Activate the
tube lion king, shift + D, close original
proceed with the
copy, delete watermark
Mask - load from
disk and choose the mask 2020. Same settings as before.
Layer palette
merge – merge group
Edit - copy -
edit - paste as a new layer on your working area
Move, see
example, pay attention the vertical line on the bottom must be outside the
tube

Layer - merge –
merge visibly

Pay attention to
the fore- and background color

borders 1 px white

borders 2 px = #400000
Layer - new
raster layer for the first text
Foreground color
locked, background color = #400000
Text tool following

Write down your
text
Deselect
Effects- 3D
effects - drop shadow following settings

Move see example
Layer - new
raster layer for the second text
Background color
= #ffe75a
Change your text
settings:

Deselect
Repeat drop
shadow
Move see example
Layers merge –
merge visibly
Save as a jpg
