Chablis

This lesson was written by me, Jille, on May 3rd, 2010 in the Dutch version of PSP X3. The lesson can be made in other versions as well.
I followed my own ideas, any connection with an existing lesson is a coincidence.

I used 2 masks, 1 author unknow and 1 from Adita (website); 1 tube from Anna br and 1 brush made from a tube from Kikirou
I thank the tubers for their beautiful work. This creation would not exist without their effort

Filters: not added
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 textures (swirl);
Eye Candy 4

Preparation
Install the filters
Extract the selections and the brush to their map
Preset jill_swirl.f1s install in the map settings (Swirl) from Alien Skin Eye Candy 5:Textures or import later when you need the filter
Open PSP
Open the tube and minimize
Open the two masks and minimize
Foreground color = #832176 background color = #f9ebfc

The lesson

1. File - New - New image - transparent checked - 800/600 pixels
   
2. Flood Fill Tool: fill the image with the dark background color
3. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5:Textures - Swirl and search my preset
   If you did not put the preset in the map settings from this filter, you can import it now bij clicking on Manage - Import and so on.
   
4. Layers - New Raster layer
   
5. Material palette - foreground material : Prepare a foreground-background gradient with these settings
   
   Flood Fill Tool - fill layer with the gradient
   
6. This mask has to be on your PSP workspace, but your own image stays actif
   
7. Layers - New Mask layer - from image choose mask_13
   
   you may close this mask
8. Layers - Merge - Merge group
9. Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance
10. Layers - Duplicate
11. Effects - Reflection effects - Kaleidoscope with these settings
    
12. Layers - Merge - Merge Down
13. Layer palette - Opacity = +/- 36
    
14. Layers - New Raster layer
15. Selections - Load/Save selection- Load selection from disk - Chablis_2
    
16. Flood Fill Tool - fill selection with the background color
17. Selections - Modify - Contract with 5 pixels
18. Flood fill the selection with the gradient
19. Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds (foreground color)
    
20. Selections - Select None
21. Distortion Effects - Twirl = -216°
22. Layer palette - Blend mode = Overlay
23. Distortion Effects - Wind - from left100
24. Edit - Repeat Wind - from right100
25. Adjust - Blur - Gaussien Blur - radius 20
26. Adjust - Blur - Radial blur

29. pm mask stays minimized on the workspace from PSP
    
30. With your own work actif - Layers - New Mask Layer - from Image
    
    mask may be closed
31. Layers - Merge - Merge group
    
32. Move Tool: move this layer horizontally till 300 pixels (View - Guides checked)

34. Layer palette - Blend Mode = Overlay
35. Layers - Duplicate
36. Effects - Image Effects - Offset with these settings
    
37. Again - Layers - Duplicate

39. Layer palette - Blend Mode = Multiply
    
40. Again - Layers - Duplicate

46. Open the tube Anna
    
47. Edit - Copy
    
48. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new Layer
49. Image - mirror
50. Move Tool - move to the right and top
    
51. Selections - Load/Save selection- Load selection from disk - Chablis_2 (Selection invert = checked)
52. Push delete on your keyboard
53. Layer palette - Opacity = 78

56. Layers - Merge - Merge visible
    
    
57. Edit - Paste as new Layer (tube is still in your PC's memory)
58. Move Tool = Move to the left
59. Layers - Duplicate
60. Adjust - blur - Gaussian Blur radius 20
61. Move Tool = move a little to the left
62. Layers - Move down
    Make top layer actif
    
    
63. Preparation for text
    Material palette - replace gradient by solid color and switch the colors
    
64. Activate text tool with these settings
    
    write Chablis
65. move to its place if necessry
66. Layer palette - convert to raster layer
67. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
    
    
68. Layers - New Raster layer
69. Activate brush tool and search Kikerou with these settings
    If you do not see the brush: open tube kikirou68_herbe
    File - Export - Custom brush- give a name
    Activate brush tool and proceed as usual
    
    Place brush with the foreground color next to the text
70. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow (color = foreground color)
    
71. Layers - Move down
72. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten)
    
73. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px foreground color
74. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 px background color
75. Selections - Select all
76. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 45 pixels foreground color
77. Selections - Invert
78. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5:Textures - Swirl - same settings
79. Selections - Select None
80. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 px background color
81. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px foreground color
82. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 3 px background color
83. Add your watermark
84. File - Save As- Give_a_name.jpg
